Let's spend the weekend on the lake...a sentence you will here a lot in Tuscaloosa. The area not only offers the large Lake Tuscaloosa, but also the smaller Lake Nichol, Lake Harris and the Black Warrior River to spend your weekend fishing, boating, jet skiing or swimming. Sport boats pulling inner tubes or water skiers, pontoon boats or people on floats can be found everywhere.

And be aware that driving a vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs is the same offense as driving your car under the influence and can be charged with a DUI. Tuscaloosa Police Department has a lake patrol to keep the waterways safe.
